the city had the water off today for repairs. doing a water change and a little concerned. i have siphoned off 25% and now i see this brown looking water plus all kinds of air in the water line. gonna hold off till tomorrow to add water and see if it clears up.

I would do the same. Situations like this makes me want to get a big tub and throw an air stone and sponge filter in it just in case something goes wrong with water i have another source or something happens to a tank a have a temp storage for my fish. Just cant do this while im on post housing.

I'd definitely wait. Even if they have the issue fixed, it may just take you running your faucets for a while to get the lines flushed back out. Hopefully they will have a better answer though lol

Test your water completely right out of the tap !!! Our water treatment jerks here like to use alot of alium to solve all their problems, like cloudyness and smell. Alium is very lethal to fish in various ph ranges. Of course the lower the ph the more lethal it is. We had a spell here a couple of weeks ago to when if you did a water change by the next morning the tanks would be covereed with tiny white worms. A cleasr glass of water right out of the tap and set in a window seal for a couple of hours made you think twice about using it for anything, expecally not drinking. But they have gotten it fixed now, we are probally drinking parasite guard now or no telling what else !!! Good luck !!!
