I have about 10 of these guys; all are juvenile between 3/4" to just over 1" and seem to be doing pretty well in my planted tank. I got them because they are supposed to remain pretty small, like a sandy substrate (check!), and don't tear apart plants.
Aside from what I've read online, does anyone here have any "real life" experience with them? Any hints in terms of feeding, growing, and breeding? Just curious, is all.
Thanks!

I have kept them for years. They are very easy to keep and require nothing special. Males can still get up around 6". What size is the tank? You will probably have to remove all of the extras once a pair forms.
