Ok members and non members i need your help. I want to compile a list of ideas you would like to see the club do. For example a fry club, breeders club, monthly drawings ect. I would like to hear from non members also on what you would like to see and what would it take for you to join. No idea is a stupud one!!!! CARES - Do a search on "CARES fish".
BAPS/HAPS - Breeder awards program and Horticulture awards program.

I like the idea of 'workshops' ... and 'fieldtrips'.
For example, a field trip to some members fish room with a workshop on how to build a ro/di system.
You can read all this DIY stuff but it's so much more helpful to see a real example in person and speak with the person who has successfully built a system.

I also think a workshop would be great... maybe one on a centralized system (since I'm about to start asking a ton of questions about that). |

I second fuzzy's suggestion of a BBQ at the pres's place  . I suppose a "local" park would do... or maybe the parking lot of FINS of Franklin? . For just a family fun day we could probably get group rates at the Tennessee Aquarium down in Chattanooga. Are we actually set up as a legal entity? (I know my kids' school got massively discounted admission to the space/rocket center, wonder if a not-for-profit fish club could swing a similar deal with the aquarium) -Rick |
