I have never seen this before and wondering if i should be worried. My female ob blueberry dropped eggs yesterday and is now holding. The problem that i noticed at lunch time to is she still has 3-4 eggs hanging out of her vent. It has been 8 hrs since i noticed them and they are still there. Will they fall on there own or should i catch her and remove them. This is one of my favorite fish and dont want anything to happen to her.

Well the eggs were gone this morning, but she is very swollen down there. Should i put some salt in the tank so she doesnt get an infection?

It looked like hemroids, but it was a few eggs hanging there that were just hanging there for several hours. Now they are gone but she is a little swollen still.

She looked a little swollen earlier but nothing out of the norm after dropping eggs. She is still holding, but i bet the numbers will be low from this brood. Thanks for asking tho man.

Well it happened again today to the same female. I got pics this time. I'll post them tomorror. I don't know what to do but I did add some Epson salt. Didn't think it would hurt at all. This is the second time this week.

I did try. The eggs popped and it looked like some of her insides were attached to the eggs.

You know....I realize you all keep saying this is eggs, but it could be the fish's intestines. To manipulate them could kill the fish or at least cause hemorrhaging. You might want to let nature just take it course and not intervene. Death might be imminent, no matter what. Just more food for thought.....
