I have a couple of fish in different tanks that have cloudy eyes. Have any of you ever had this happen before? What could it be and what should I do?

Well they've been like that for a while now and they act like they can't see very well. I'm not sure what the problem is... they're fine but just want to make sure I don't have some disease spreading.

I recently rescued a fish that had a very cloudy eye on one side. I treated the tank with Pimafix and Melafix and increased the frequency of my water changes and all is better now.

It is pretty common. It comes from injuries, or stress. Water changes and salt are about the best things I have found to help.

Sounds like its not too serious. I'll work on doing more water changes and treat with salt (since it's cheaper than meds).

H20 changes; I agree. I have had many a Cichlid to develop this. Usually I realize I have neglected that tank to long. A good filter rinse the day before or after the h20 change. Never a filter and water change on the same day !
