If you had a 50g breeder free to breed something what would you do? So far i had a few ideas just not set on one. Right now my top two picks are. Ps Williamsi North Or Alto Comp Sumbu Dwarf
Other ideas that came about are Julis and a shelli Or Sunshine peacocks regular and albino

Sumbu might not be the best for a 50gal unless you were doing liek 5 pairs lol, you can do them in like a 20-39 gal.

ooh, fun -- what are the dimensions of this tank? 36x18x?. I like the wider tanks. Have you considered one of the lepidolamprologine shell-dwellers? Maybe paired up with a rock-dweller that's a little too rough-and-tumble for your typical mini-community, but that the lepidolamps could stand up to. Could also just try multiple pairs of the lepidolamps, not sure how well it'd work out but it might be worth a shot.
That 18" front-to-back depth would allow for a pretty cool "reef" type rockpile for a colony of one of the brichardi complex, maybe gracilis or maranguensis. I personally am not a big fan of the pulcher/"daffodil", but they seem very popular.
On the other hand, I'm really enjoying my juli/shelly 29gallon -- a 50br would be even better and would likely support more than 1 breeding pair of julies (that's all my 29 will support, with half the tank dedicated to the multifasciatus shellbed). Then you'd get even more interactions to watch... julie-julie, julie-shelly, and depending on the flavor of shellies, shelly-shelly.
