Hello, everyone! I'm always up for learning more about my critters, and fish is the area that I have the most room to grow! I have two dogs, several herps, and six arachnids.
But onto what you're interested in... My finned-kids.
I have four bettas. They each have their own "room" that they occupy and are single occupants of their own large vase or bowl. Hara-Kiri (Red veiltail), Seppuku (Blue veiltail), Oibara (black and silver crowntail), and Bushido (Red & Blue veiltail).
I also have a 55 gallon tank that I've been wanting to turn into a set up, so I hope everyone here can offer suggestions as to good options for me. I've only had experience with bettas, rope fish, mollies, barbs, and convict cichlids.
Can't wait to meet everyone! :-)

Now about that 55... I bet you'll get lots of people here saying to go with some Africans. But if you check out crazydaz's thread on his 200 gallon and you might get inspired to try some plants. Whatever your thing is, there will be people here that share your interest and are happy to help out.

Thank you all for the welcome! I have a busy semester preparing for my graduation / transfer / internship / board exam / nonsense, but I can hopefully get a picture of the 55 gallon up on the board sometime in the future and browse what everyone has to say about their preferences and such!
I only have pictures of Oibara and his Zen Zone on the computer (his "Zen Zone" is identical to Bushido's.), but I can hopefully snap some of Hara-Kiri, Bushido, and Seppuku sometime tonight when I get home :-)

Nice names... I especially like Bushido. I used to play an online game the group I led was Bushido... I was Makoto. I miss being Makoto. I was a bad-a$$! lol.

I'm extremely busy, but it'll subside in a month or so... I definitely foresee myself being active here. You guys are so friendly and seem helpful! It's awesome to be able to network with people who have similar interests.
