SALE/TRADE DISPUTES AMENDMENT: The Music City Aquarium Association will not be directly involved in the trading/buying/ or selling of fish and/or dry goods between club and forum members. Deals/sales/purchases/etc... between individuals is their own, and the club will not interfere with said sales/purchases/swaps/etc..., unless standing club/forum policies are broken. Negative reviews will be tolerated on the forum of MCAA if they are justified, truthful, factual, non-accusatory, and within reason, and good taste/etiquette. They should not, and will not, be personal attacks. Personal attacks and conversation of a similar nature will not be tolerated. Bad karma and bad reviews happen when sales, money, and time wasted are involved. A buyer or potential buyer will have the right to voice negative feedback on the forum, but it must be civil in nature. The seller may defend his/her sales/ads/transactions with appropriate posts as well. We cannot make everyone be nice to one other. Such posts are still discouraged, but will be allowed if done tastefully and without personal accusation. If someone feels they have been unjustly treated by a seller, they are allowed to post the infraction. This alerts other members to be cautious when dealing with that person. As long as the disputes are civil, they will be allowed. If any forum member crosses the line to personal attacks, we, the officers, will remove the part of the post that is inappropriate, lock the post, or delete the complete thread, as necessary, and transfer the said posts in question to the private staff board of the forum. This will assure all officers are aware of the issue/posts, thus allowing decisions, if any, to be considered for any appropriate actions necessary. We, as officers, will assure that members do not cross the etiquette line. When or if any of these incidents occur, officers will intervene and correct as necessary, and provide warnings as needed. In addition, the forum/club, MCAA, takes the stand as per policies already in place, in the event the said exchange between individuals is aired on the open forum with any type of negative approach that can be considered damaging to the repor of the club or forum itself. In this event, the officers have agreed, we will lock said thread, delete offensive posts, and/or move the entire said thread to the private staff board of the forum, thus closing and deleting the said thread. This will allow discussion as officers, if necessary, and assure that all officers have seen the dispute. If posts by members in such a thread have broken club/forum policies in place, then the members directly r/t the offense will be contacted privately and dealt with according to policies in place. This process, if necessary, will involve requesting a member to alter open forum attitude, stop certain future posts, or in extreme cases; the member may be warned of an offense, suspended for up to 90 days, or completely banned from the forum if absolutely necessary, based on the severity of the offense. Effective immediately, this is a new club/forum amendment approved unanimously by sitting officers/board members. 11-30-11 Approved unanimously @ the 1-25-12 board meeting. ** Arrears Amendment of MCAA for 2012 **
Effective immediately,a $20.00 fee will be added for any returned check written to the MCAA (Music City Aquarium Association) for any purpose, as a fair and acceptable business practice. The person who writes said check will be contacted via an officer or officers of the board for the collection of same. If person is unreachable/unavailable to correct the mishandled funds, and the club must sustain the charges involved for the said check, then this potential member will not be allowed to become a future member of the MCAA, or a user of the forum, until the arrears are corrected. If the individual owing the arrears registers under a different pen name and is found to be on the MCAA forum without correcting this misappropriation of funds, they will be deleted from the register immediately, with a personal e-mail sent to them, if possible.
(Passed unanimously via MCAA sitting board and vote of club members, in good standing, at May 20, 2012 swap/meet.)

** Profit sharing Amendment of MCAA, 2012 **
When the MCAA (Music City Aquarium Association) conducts general or silent auctions, or any other activity, where an offer is made to split proceeds of money between the club purse and the club member, who is in good standing, and dues paid to date; the club reserves the right to choose the percentages to offer via the sitting officers, as a first reading offer or change, and vote,... and after approval as a second reading and vote by the general assembly of the club members, in good standing. This is in accordance with policies already in place via the MCAA to date. The only current option applicable to date, as of the May 20, 2012 swap/meet is, the 50/50 split for any silent auctions held during the bi-annual swap/meets. Numbers of items to be allowed for split sales between the member and club will be set, if needed or necessary, by the sitting officers w/o a general club vote. It is understood via MCAA Policy already in place, that only club members, in good standing, have a vote in these matters.
In addition, if an event is to take place that allows a split of funds between the member and the club is to take place, that any other events that are solely for club profit be a requirement of participation by the same member, during the same event.
(Passed unanimously via MCAA sitting board and vote of club members, in good standing, @ May 20, 2012 Swap/meet.)
