This fish is the size of a larger tetra, but it is always right below surface. All my other tetras are well below this fish in the tank. Paul Attachments:

It looks like a common type of tetra to me, but it might be something else entirely. However a fish hovering close to the surface is not a good sign. When a fish gets sick, that is one of the ways you can tell something is wrong...

I have 4 of them and they all swim all the time right under the surface...kind of like my butterfly catfish.
