Hi All!
I met some of you at the ACA Convention over the weekend and had great time. For those of you who I didn't meet, my name is Terry Havelka, I live in the Denver Colorado area and I am a member of the Rocky Mountain Cichlid Association as well as the Colorado Aquarium Society. I mainly keep African Cichlids. My primary interest right now is mbunas but I also have some peacocks, Victorians and west African species....among other things.
Terry

Thanks for the warm welcome all.
Mark, I did not pickup anything at the ACA Auction. The fish that I wanted were a little to big to fit in breather bags that I brought....oh well. I still had a great time!

signde, You are correct, we have the Downtown Aquarium (Restaurant) which has a few nice salt water exhibits. It is worth seeing once but to be honest with you most people find it to be a bit of a let down. We also a portion of the Denver Zoo called "Tropical Discovery". It has Salt Water and Fresh Water exhibits as well as some reptile and amphibian (snakes, poison dart frogs,Komodo Dragons, etc.). Personally, I prefer the Zoo over the Downtown Aquarium. Here is a link to the Downtown Aquarium: www.aquariumrestaurants.com/downtownaquariumdenver/default.aspAnd here is the Denver Zoo: denverzoo.org/

We have an aquarium restaurant here too. If I remember correctly the main tank is about 600,000 gallons? It's pretty cool, especially if you're into a $60 lunch. LOL.

Thanks Mark,
All is well. We were lucky in that my son and his friends were at a different theater about 10 miles away. His girlfriend lives in Aurora and unfortunately, some of her co-workers were in the theater and saw things that they will carry with then for the rest of their lives.
