0nes we thouth she was turning in to a male.Some fish do if thay are with the same sex for a long time.She is holeing now by our super red em.

Yes, I've heard of it happening in yellow labs but I can't say for sure.

Clownfish can do that when kept in a tank together for a while. I guess mother nature knows how to take care of herself.

That is indeed a very pretty female red empress. Much more color than mine, which is about 4 inches at the moment. For comparison, here's a shot of her....no blue coloring on her gill plates and no color in the tale. Still, I like her and recently added a juvenile that I hope turns out to be a male. The males are gorgeous.
