I would say $100 for all advertising. So we need to think of best way that $100, or whatever amount we think of would be. I am up for anything, because this is a make or break swap in my opinion, for the club. So if we want to spend more and go all in, I am not opposed.

Well, I think if we can get five lines in those newspapers mentioned for a week at under $50 it would be a good deal. Then we could use the other $50 else where. I'm with you, a little more wouldn't hurt my feelings either.

You have to choose a region which include various counties and their local papers as well as the Tennessean, online Tennessean, Metromix, etc. ( see here for regions: secure1.classwebtn.com/webbase/en/std/jsp/WebBaseMain.do ) We would have to select which region would be best for us. It looks like for $39.95, you get the ad in X amount of publications (depending on region) and up to 10 pictures in the online version of the ad. This is for an up-to 5-line ad. Note, these are classified ads, not an ad in the newspaper. We would also have to select which category would be best for our listing...i.e. "pet announcements," "notices/happenings," etc. There is also a cheaper package for $30 which gives you less publications. It looks like you can get more than 5 lines but the price goes up per line, etc. |

I missed the part on who found the place for the club till I saw her today. Jennie and Eric do not have forum accounts but wanted to make the swap happen (they read the forum). They will be there and I hope we can all give them our thanks. Eric loves hugs  A LARGE TERRIFIC HUG AND THANK YOU TO ERIC AND JENNIE AND TO YOU TIM PINDELL !!!!! IMHO this is a terrific location !!! I realize several of you had contacted me over the last 6 months or so asking for a location in the Nashville proper area, and let me assure everyone that a lot of effort was put forth many weeks back to find such a place, but no affordable, safe, and convenient location was found in Nashville. A temporary committee of 4 was asked to look into it along with a couple of members actually driving by locations, including myself as well, and many phone calls were made on this same behalf. IMHO, this location, as was the first one that Jon found, a terrific location for us to conduct our swap/meets. Once all get used to the drive, I believe it won't seem excessively far to a few of you who will have to drive further than a few others. Locations can change later if needed or desired, but for now this just seems, on the forefront, to be an excellent location and I want to extend a large and hearty "THANK YOU" to Tim, Eric, Jennie, Jon, David, and the 4 at large committee members, Ryan, Thorace, James, and Mack !!!!! I am pleased to read this thread and see so many positive remarks ! |
