i'm going to get a mpimbwe colony from jon sometime after christmas it is going to be hard to let go of all my male haps and peacocks... i'm quite proud of the collection i've built. some of my more recent juvies like the red empress are just starting to fully color up and are looking stunning too. going to be a bittersweet day for me.

I did the opposite. I had been into fronts for 20 yrs. switched to haps and peacocks.

well, i did it. all my male haps and peacocks are gone. my 125 is (almost) all tang now. 8 mpimbwe, 2 comps, 1 calvus, and a synodontis. thanks to this thread for spurring me to do this and especially to jon for making it happen. currently sipping a glass of scotch and watching the colony glide about. i could get used to this
