Constitution
ARTICLE 1
Section 1: Name
The name of this society shall be: Music City Aquarium Association
Section 2: Object
The Music City Aquarium Association is dedicated to the advancement and/or dissemination of information relating to all aspects of the biology of tropical fish/marine fish/pond/plants/other aquatic life, with particular reference to their maintenance and breeding in captivity.
Section 3: Charter
MCAA shall maintain a charter in the state of Tennessee as a not-for-profit organization.
ARTICLE 2
Section 1: Membership
All persons interested in aquatic life shall be eligible for membership. There will be no discrimination based on race, sex, religion, or sexual orientation.
Section 2: Officers
There shall be officer elections held annually
Section 3: Qualifications of Officers
Any candidate for office must be a member in good standing, must be eighteen (18) years of age or older, and must have been a member of MCAA for a minimum of six (6) months.
Section 4: Election of Officers
Officer elections will be held once per year in December on forum. If interested in running, contact officer.

Section 1: Meetings
MCAA shall meet twice a year as club for spring and fall auctions. Meetings can occur in between at members homes or other locationis
ARTICLE 4
Section 1: Usage of club funds
Club will operate by committees that will have a pre-approved budget and written plan for usage. Budget will be put together by Budgeting Officer and plan for usage will be written by officer over committee. Should plan require more funds than allotted, committee officer must request change in writing to all officers. Funds must be taken from somewhere else. Budgeting officer has end power to approve or deny change. No more than 10% of club savings may be used. Anything over 10% must come from other committee funds.
ARTICLE 5
Section 1: Amendments
Any proposed amendments to this constitution must be submitted in writing to any elected officer. Such proposed amendments must be signed by three (3) active members of MCAA before being submitted. They will be referred to the Board of Directors for investigation and recommendation. Proposed amendments will then be published within sixty (60) days and will be read and voted upon at the next regular meeting after publication. They shall become a part of this Constitution only if approved by a two thirds (2/3) majority of the members present and voting at said meeting.
ARTICLE 6
Section 1: Hold Harmless
MCAA Club officers shall be held harmless in the event of any disputes, legal or financial, arising from actions against said club.
