Our mbuna are getting a 10 gallon upgrade next week (125-135), so I am planning a new stock for the 125 they will be vacating. Really, we just found a sweet deal on another big tank, and who doesn't want two of them? haha.
I've been looking around for opinions, and I have settled on:
Placidochromis sp. "Phenochilus Tanzania" 1:3 Buccochromis sp. (I prefer rhoadesii, but haven't had much luck) 1:4 Champsochromis caeruleus 1:4
I would like one more species to round out the tank. I'm thinking Copadichromis borleyi (Kadango), but I don't want anything that might ever try to push the champ around. I haven't stocked these fish before, so I'm limited in experience with their adult/breeding behavior. Any thoughts?

Congrats on the addition of another big tank!
I had mbunas for a couple years before switching to an all frontosa tank, and have never had a hap or peacock only tank. The ratios you mentioned above seen spot on especially if you're wanting them to breed. No idea about the aggression, there are a few guys and gals here who know more about that and will hopefully chime in. Jon? Brian?

Yeah, I am definitely looking for them to breed in the future. I have been discussing the stock with Jon a bit through email. He is getting some of the fish in that I am after. I've got to decide what I actually want though...
I just wanted to open up the search for a 4th species to others with experience as well. I don't think a 6' tank stocked with large breeding haps is all that common (it's going to be tight), but it should be fun.
There is a 375 gallon tank on CL here in Knoxville that is killing me. They are basically giving it away, but I don't have a wall to put it on haha.

Agreed, that's 15 fish large fish in one tank at a minimum.. It will definitely be full. You may also consider that those three fish are similar in coloration. I don't know how much that affects aggression in haps, but it definitely does with mbunas. Maybe something a little differently colored as one of your options?
I love the Phenochilus Tanzania.

phenos all the way. most beautiful african cichild there is, for my money.
Copadichromis borleyi (Kadango) are the fastest growing cichlid i have ever seen. they grow like weeds. they are pretty feisty and once they gain a size advantage they will bully others. you'll have plenty of stock to spread the agression though, so you'll probably be okay. if you are growing from a small size just be aware the borleyi will get much larger much quicker.

Maybe something a little differently colored as one of your options? The biggest issue here might be the buccos and the champs. I'm thinking the champs shouldn't have much trouble running the show though, especially if I get one of the more docile buccochromis species. I'd really like to find something with some yellows or greens (other than the bit of yellow from the bucco) - I could get that with a group of F. rostratus. phenos all the way. most beautiful african cichild there is, for my money. Yeah, the phenos were really the motivation for this setup. The Champs were an afterthought, but I'm honestly really excited about stocking them as well. I wasn't sure they would work in a 6' tank, but I've heard several success stories if they are stocked right. I'm a little leery of the borleyi at this point. Everyone seems to comment that they are pretty rambunctious. I don't want them to disrupt the tank - especially since they were the last choice on my list. Jon said F. rostratus may work - but they get awful big too. I guess he's going to look through his stock/order list and see if he thinks anything else might go better.

Update: The tank is well on its way as of tonight. We picked up a 2:4 group of rostratus in St. Louis last week (two awesome males - pictures to come if I can get some that aren't blurry), and stopped by riftfish on the way home to pick up 5 Champs.
As of now the rostratus will have the 125 to themselves and the Champs are camping out in a 55 until they put on some more size. We are also going to move our German Red Peacock group in when they get a bit bigger upon John's recommendation. That leaves us looking for a group of phenos.
We found a dirt cheap wrought iron stand for the tank on Craigslist that is being freshly sanded and painted this afternoon, and the rostratus are going in tonight if all goes as planned! I've been keeping them in a 75 for a couple days until we could get the tank set up... They are really going to appreciate the extra room.

I am looking out for a Vape N Terps Review as I am incredibly zealous to take up several new CBD products on my online CBD shop(https://cbdoileco.com). I managed to find several good reviews on impactvapes.com but it is not quite what I am seeking. If anybody is interested in partnering up with me on launching a brand new CBD on-line company in the UK, please let me know. Thanks
