Between doing a little research and a crap load of buggin Jon I got some new equipment for my Nikon D3000. I got Sigma EF-610 External Flash, Nikon Flash Sync Cord and a Nikon 35mm f/1.8 lens. My new lens isn't here yet so these were taken with my 18-55mm.

If you got those shots with the 18-55, your shots with the 35mm will be stunning. I don't know what ISO and light you were shooting with but those look great!

I never take my 35mm off unless I need some reach. I just never use the 18-55 anymore. You will love it.
