Hi Everyone,
Just found out that a few of my plecos and red zebras have Velvet (I Think )and I'm currently using Rid Ich. I have Pimafix and Melafix on hand just in case but this is the first time having it. Received this from LFS in town. Looks just like Ich but not white they are little yellowish-gold Bumps.
Does anyone else know how to treat this thing bc im not sure if i am doing this right? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated!

I don't have experience with this form of Ich but I've always found Quick Cure to be an effective treatment for the Ich I have had. You might try that. Also, the Pima and Mela won't hurt, I would do that too. You might also try slowing raise the temp over the course of the next few days (a degree a day) to about 83. Be careful with the plecos though as they normally like colder water.

Thanks David,
I did use the quick cure and a lil help with the pima and mela but i did loose a good bit of baby plecos due to the heat and meds but all in all the meds worked for all the larger plecos and cichlids.Thank you for the quick response!

Sorry you lost a few but sounds like you're on the downhill side of it. I've always found that once I have any kind of Ich once in a tank, that's the only time. It's never come back. Only had it a couple times but it never returns. With good frequent water changes, you'll probably be good to go. Best of luck rebuilding your stock of babies.

oh definitely. and I will get some new babies for sure the BN always @ the end of every month He is Venting a new batch! I went ahead and picked up some metro for future!

Im planning on getting a bigger tank someday my biggest now is 55 and its full,LOL, Then after that I have about a $300 list of fish to get from Jon!
