Hello everyone. I'm 32 and live in Crossville. I've had aquariums all my life, but I'm new to cichlids. I'm in the process now of getting everything bought to set my first one up.

We need every one that can to post pics in the pics section. It will help members like baisley101 get a better idea of what they want, and how to set it up. Just from my experince baisley, the bigger the better- that goes for tank size and filtration. I made the mistake of starting with a 30g, then moving to a 55g, then going to a 125g. I would have saved a lot of money and hassle starting with the 125g I knew I was going to end up with in the first place.

Thanks for the advice Jon. A 125 is what I decided on. I found one at Petsmart for a good price and I'm in the process of building a stand myself. I just need to buy a couple filters and heaters and I'll be good to go.

Hi I'm Alecia, I have a 55g with 11 yellow labs and a 29g with 2 silver dollars. I live in Pleasant View, TN. Nice to find a place to talk with other people about my hobby.

Hello all, So I go to photobucket to upload? I've used it before, but is there a way to upload more than 1 pic at a time from my computer.

Hi Jordanc. Yes, when uploading to Photobucket the wizard they have says you can upload more than one at a time. I haven't tried it yet but if you don't figure it out when my grandsons go home I'll give it a whirl.

We're happy to share any and all ideas and experiences with you, and hope you'll do the same. I'm not into the hobby long, so you're not alone. But if you're really into fish it becomes obvious so quickly--sounds like you are! Welcome aboard, Zac. Would love to see photos of your tanks and fish!
