I'm curious if anyone here have frogs as pets? I have seriously been debating on trying my hand at something other than fish. I really like the Red-eyed Tree frogs and Dart frogs too. I'm not getting out of the fish hobby, just would like to try something new. I was searching on kingsnake.com in the classifieds and found these fellas, they're called Mossy Frog. Here's a google image link. DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK!!!! Copy and paste it, for some reason only half the link is "clickable" Or just google MOSSY FROGS ;D images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=mossy+frog&gbv=2&aq=f&oq=

i was thinking the same thing 2 or 3 dart frogs in a 30 or 38g terrarium full of live plants and a java moss rug, rocks, bog wood i can see it now but the $40 -$200 price tag and care for a frog makes it a pipe dream for now

I have 3 dogs...I'd be afraid the frogs would escape and my pups would eat them and be poisoned. I've had dwarf aquatic frogs before, they are fun.

I have numerous large bull frogs in and around my pond and tree frogs have taken up residency now also. Very interesting to listen to them talk to one another just outside the back door in the evening, overnight, and into early a.m.. Nature in progress. Very relaxing. And, you do know frogs are very territoral, right ? Oh, they are. Very. Now that can be interesting to watch.

Frogs are the common name for a group of animals from the order of tailless amphibians. In the broad sense, the term "frog" refers to all representatives of the order of tailless. In a narrow sense, this name is applied to representatives of the family of real frogs. The frog larvae are called tadpoles.
