hi all! ;D i'm from ohio and new to the forum.i hope you all dont mind an outsider! i was just wondering if anyone has tried their luck at keeping petrochromis?they are a absolute fascinating fish, but also present a challenge for their aggression and most have trouble breeding.i have been very fortunate to keep and breed some of the larger variants.glad to be aboard!

I kept what looked to be a breeding group of Petrochromis sp. "Giant" (Namansi). I bought it on aquadbid as just a "Giant Petrochromis" I had it about 3 years ago and only had it for about 8 months and then sold them to a friend. I think he lost them last year. They seemed a lot like tropheus. My main problem is I seldom keep fish for more than a couple years and then trade or sell for something new. That doesn't count for about 8 fish in my bedroom that I would never sell. Mine looked alot like the one on your avatar.

Hi Russ! I'm transplanted to TN from Ohio. I've never kept the fish or even seen it. But it's pretty. Do you keep them with anything else? Welcome to the forum.

I was raised at Geneva-on-the-Lake. I moved away for a while and when I came back, was at Bellevue near Sandusky. I was on the radio there for years before moving here. I miss snow.
