Got these from Jon. I'm not certain now which is the male and which is the female. I had thought the one that turned darker was the female but that's when they were both lighter. Anyway the darker one has been tattered some. I'm not sure if it's a normal part of breeding behavior with them or I need to get dither fish or get the beaten one out of there. In any case, they're gorgeous and I love them!

Thanks. Madagascan species aren't the easiest to get to spawn by any means. But I got the East Coast Gold which are also ptychochromis to spawn successfully so I'm looking for the key with these guys. Salt was the key with the others. If there's an increase in salt over a short period of time they spawn. I'm trying with these ones to see if it's the same, but if not, read read and read some more.
