Hey ya'll, well JD and Titans turned me on to the site here. I'm a 53yo swm in Gallatin tn, (north of nashville) that has had some fish for about 15 years now. I started out with a garage sale 30g and LFS fish. Did that for quite a while. Couple years ago I got a used 125g and all the gear to go with it from a friend. as far as fish... right now I have the 125g tank with: 2 6" to 8" Blood pariots, a male and a female 2 young red spotted severums 4" and 6" 1 6" male Roktiel 1 6" to 8" male red spotted severum 1 5" african knife 1 8" sailfin catfish 1 8" albino chocolate Placo 1 2.5" Bolivian ram ( had 2, 1 is gone) 6 2 to 3" Giant danos 2 walnut sized mystery snails lots of baby snails 2 4" crawdads
the pariots use to try to mate all the time, laying eggs. The male is quite a bit smaller than the female. I got the largest red spotted male sev for free from a woman a while back and the female pariot took a liking to him. they have laid eggs 3 times but no babys yet. the smal male pariot now has a complex and hides a lot. Sev stole his woman...
At work i have the 30 gal that has 1 of each of like 5 diffrent kinds of gourmies and small fish that the guys here buy for it.
So very glad to have found my way here ( thanks JD and Titansfan) hope to get to know all ya'll...

Very nice color on the parrots! We used to keep them and it seemed that most were dull colored in stores around Knoxville.

Great looking fish John. You might want to take a good look at the red sev in the second to the last pic. I think it might be a female. Might need to vent it to make sure.

Hey Angel, I "think" Blood parrots are similar to Red Devils, they get brighter when they reach about 4 or so inches in size. They are all kinda dull at first.
