Hi. i live in franklin and have a love for aquariums. i especially love ciclids, central and south american so far. i really want to knock out a wall and put in an aquarium wall divider.... i am a nurse, work full time. have 4 children and 3 granddaughters. i am a beach person and really should live at the beach, but since i don't i have to have a little bit of water close by. would love to have a salt water tank but don't feel i know enough yet to go there. would love to have my own little coral reef since that is endangered, but love my fresh water babies. just married for 1 yr to my highschool sweetheart and he loves this hobby as well. just want to learn all i can and willing to get any advice i can. can't believe there is a group of people here that love this as much as i do!

Hello everyone, I live in Cookeville Tn and am brand new to the hobby....I visted my local fish store and announced that I wanted to start a cichild tank and the response was YOU DON'T WANT TO DO THAT....So after 4 trips to Nashville and 4 weeks later I now have my tank up and running with my first 3 electric labs. Glad to find this forum today.....

Howdy folks. Ben here in Maryville TN. Im an old school African collector/breeder/lover from Canada with a degree in Biology and Ichthyology . I got out of it years back, but walked into my local shop and saw a tank of frontosa and bought them all because I missed them so much.

Jumped back in with a 110 tall, and the fish are doing well. Man, I missed collecting. Im already on the hunt for another(larger tank) and will likely have a few more by the end of the year. Nothing more relaxing than sitting in your own fish room..... just watching.

Anyhoo..... I will be looking/wanting/buying more fish in the near future, and prefer to collect F1 and colonies, so if you have something that needs a home(the more exotic or hard to find, the better) send me a message.

Thanks for having this forum out there. THe area is definitely lacking in nice fish, and Im glad to have found like minded folks.

    I'm of course new but my name Is Robert, I'm in a town called Vanleer, in Dickson TN. I new at starting out but I have a few Africans and Albino BN's. I havent gotten too many Cichlids yet but I hope to soon. on the other hand my BN's are breeding good, so if needed just holla!
