Is the crack growing larger? Glad to hear you haven't had a horrible mess to deal with.

I am a little. I am pretty confident that it will leak and not just explode, but this is a first for me. So all of you will know what to do or not to do in this situation. I will be the lab rat.

Full top to bottom crack and so far no leak. I also have a 75% crack on the other end on the same piece.

CRAZY Jon! I can't believe it's still intact. Hope all your electrical outlets are higher than the tank

They are directly behind it, right under. I have faith in silicone.

LOL. I have several tanks like this. Of course I have all my tanks in the garage, on a concrete garage floor, so if leaks happen, it is not going to bother anything but the fish. I have several that have held for years. Did yours hold Jon ?

LOL i remember this! Next time you dont need to add so much silicone, and add another peace of glass just big enough to cover just where the crack is at. then glue them flush to each othere with silicone so them its reenforced *Wink* I have seen huge tanks with fix's like that on them last forever, ask rick lol in the old store here Just Cichlids he has a huge 800gal or somethign tank and there was a few spots it was repaired that way!
